How to install Dynamic Web TWAIN for web application end users?

Before running the scan page on a client machine, please make sure that you have deployed Dynamic Web TWAIN on your web server correctly. Please click here to check the steps on how to deploy Dynamic Web TWAIN on web server.

After you deployed Dynamic Web TWAIN properly on your web server, you can follow the steps below to use Dynamic Web TWAIN on client machines:

1. Check the security settings of IE on the client machine and verify the following security settings of IE to "Prompt" or "Enabled":

1) Download signed ActiveX controls
2) Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins
3) Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting

The dialog box of the security setting can be launched from menu Tools>Internet Options. Then select the security tab.

2. When accessing the web page on a client machine, you will be asked to install the ActiveX control. Click to install the control.




3. Click the Install button.



From now on, you can run Dynamic Web TWAIN on the client machine.

Note:

1. When you access the web page, you may receive the following error messages. Please click on the error message directly to find the solutions.

Your Dynamic Web TWAIN serial number is invalid.
Your trial license has expired.
The License Number is for trial version. Please use a full version License Number.

2. You may not be able to download the ActiveX control onto the client machine and a red "X" is found on the scan page. Please click here to find solutions.

3. You may need to install the ActiveX control every time when you access the web page, although you installed the control for the first time you visit the web page and the web page worked fine after you install the control. Please click here to find solutions.
