The leading provider of version control solution and TWAIN SDK

Do I need a separate license for a test environment?

Every developer working on TWAIN programming needs a Developer License. For people working on the testing, please look at the following cases to see which is right for you:

1. The developers and testers work on the TWAIN application at the same time. In this case, you will need a Developer License for each testers.

2. The developers and testers work on the TWAIN application in different time. In this case, a Developer License used for developing can be used for testing. For example, if there is 1 developer and 1 tester working on the TWAIN application, then one Developer License is enough for you. If there is 1 developer and 2 testers, then you will need two Developer Licenses.

3. If you are developing a web application and there are more than 1 tester working on the TWAIN application, we suggest you deploy Dynamic Web TWAIN on your web server with a Web Server License, so the testers will be able to test the application on test machines without using any Developer Licenses.
