Error Message: Peer closed down the SOCKET connection

Symptoms

When you try to connect to SourceAnywhere Standalone Server, you may get the following error message in the output window of SourceAnywhere Standalone Client:



Cause

1. The SourceAnywhere Standalone Client and Server are not compatible.

2. Firewall blocks the connection/port.

Resolution

1. Make sure you are using the same version of SourceAnywhere Standalone Client and Server .

2. Make sure there is no firewall is blocking the connection and port. The port number is defined in Server Manager. More info
