Sometimes when you perform Show Differences on text files, the following message may prompt:
Cause:
The text files are added into SourceAnywhere Hosted as binary. You can verify this by right-clicking the file Properties | General | Type dropdown list in SourceAnywhere Hosted Client.
Resolution:
To enable Visual Diff on text files, please add the file extension (such as .css and .xml) to Mergeable File Types in SourceAnywhere Hosted Server Manager. For more information, please refer to here.
Note: It will only take effect for the files added after the setting. For the files already on the server, you can change the file type by right-clicking on the file Properties -> General tab, and select Mergeable from the Type dropdown list.
