How to install Issue Tracking Anywhere on a Windows 2008 64 bit machine?

To install Issue Tracking Anywhere on a Windows 2008 64 bit machine, please follow the steps below: 

1. Install IIS7.0

 

You can click "Add Roles" to install IIS7.0. After installation, you can see IIS listed in the left pane as the figure above.

Please make sure that you have successfully installed "Management Tools" as the figure below:
 

2. Install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 (include Service Pack 1).

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package can be downloaded from:
http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 can be downloaded from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A8F5654F-088E-40B2-BBDB-A83353618B38&displaylang=en

3. Configure IIS7.0
a. Set temporary directory. For example, set C:\Temp as the temporary directory. Click "Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager -> Connections Root (Machine name) -> Sites -> (Your website root) -> .NET Compilation -> Temporary Directory". You can refer to the following two figures:
 

b. assign full permission of the temporary directory to users
c. set Application Pool to .net 1.1:
Right-click on Default Web Site, go to "Manage Web Site -> Advanced Setting...->General", change "Application Pool" to "ASP.NET 1.1"
 
 

d. Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager -> Connections Root (Machine name) -> "ISAPI and CGI Restrictions", set "ASP.NET v1.1.4322" allowed


e. Configure ASP.NET 1.1 to run in 32bit mode. Please go to "Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager -> Connections Root(Machine name) -> Application Pools -> ASP.NET 1.1 or ITA -> Edit Application Pool -> Advanced Settings… -> General -> Enable 32-Bit Applications", set the value to be true. Please refer to the following two figures:
 

4. Install Microsoft SQL Server
5. Install Issue Tracking Anywhere
