The leading provider of version control solution and TWAIN SDK

Why are there two DynamicWebTwain Class at LPK tool.exe?

Symptoms:

When you are generating an LPK file using LPK_tool.exe, you may find two "DynamicWebTwain Class" in the control list.

Cause:

The possible cause of this issue is that both the trial version and the full version of Dynamic Web TWAIN are installed in your machine. One is installed from the installation package and the other may be downloaded and installed as an ActiveX control from web pages through IE.

Resolution:

Please remove DynamicWebTwainCtrlTrial.dll and DynamicWebTwainCtrlTrial.inf under the following folders if any.

NOTE: you need to unregister the DLLs by using command regsvr32 -u "the path of the DLL file" before delete them.

- "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files"
- "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Downloaded Program Files
- "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\System32" or "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\SysWOW64"

After doing this, please open Lpk_tool.exe again and you will find there is only one DynamicWebTwain Class left.
