How to install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1?

To install the .NET Framework 1.1, please follow steps below:

  1. Download the .NET Framework 1.1, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en
  2. Double click the Installer wizard to install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1.

Note:

For Windows XP or Windows 2000 users:
Open Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs to check whether Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 has been installed in your machine or not.

For Windows 2003 users:
You need to register ASP.NET by running the following command: "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe -i".

For Windows Vista users:
In addition to installing Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1, you need to install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. It's available here: http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A8F5654F-088E-40B2-BBDB-A83353618B38&displaylang=en.
