First, please make sure Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in has been upgraded to the latest version on the server side. Click here to check the steps on how to upgrade Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in on the server side.
Then, please follow these steps to upgrade Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in to the latest version on the client side:
If you are using Firefox 2:
1. Delete "DynamicWebTwain.xpt" and "NPDynamicWebTwain.dll" at "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins".
2. Delete "DynamicWebTwain.xpt" and "NPDynamicWebTwain.dll" at "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Dynamsoft Corporation".
If you are using Firefox 3 or above versions:
1. Click Add-ons at the Tools menu.
2. Click Uninstall to remove Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in.
3. Restart Firefox.

How can I do an fully automated update on the client side? The described manual process is not feasible. -

Hi Christoph, Currently, we only provide manual upgrade process for DynamicWebTWAIN Plug-in. Our R&D team is considering simplifying the process.
